Working Together
TYKES advocates for Young Carers on a local and national level.

Nationally

Each year, staff attend the Scottish Young Carers Services Alliance Conference in Perth to network with other Young Carer Projects throughout Scotland. This vital networking offers an opportunity for staff to share good practice and make strong, working connections to ensure our Young Carers get the best service possible.
Regionally
TYKES regularly engages with local government. Most recently MSP Maree Todd and local councillors Richard Gale and Jim McGillivray visited TYKES to discuss Young Carer issues across Highland.
Locally

TYKES works to raise the profile of our Young Carers and get their voices heard. TYKES is regularly selected by schools across Sutherland as the charity to champion as part of the YPI (Youth and Philanthropy Initiative). The work TYKES and our Young Carers do is often acknowledged and rewarded with a prize.
